Moroccan rug design tips

Our NZ Moroccan-style rugs come in various vibrant colours and patterns that will erase any sense of mundanity in your design. However, these bold patterns must be styled with a trained hand to get the most out of them. Here are our styling tips for using Moroccan rugs in your Auckland home.

Layer it

Moroccan rugs are often on the smaller side, making it difficult sometimes to utilise them in bigger spaces. Layering your Moroccan rug over a larger base rug can help frame the room and make the striking patterns stand out. Consider mixing and matching textures while layering for a bold look.

Sometimes Two Rugs Are Better than One!

If you're torn between two different rug patterns, why not use both? Due to the size of Moroccan-style rugs, it can be hard to fill the space with just one. Using two similar-style rugs in proximity can solve this issue. Or you could be bold and utilise contracting patterns that will add to the drama and intrigue of your interior design.
